Alphenaer goat cheese is produced following the traditional recipe. The village of Alphenaerall is located in the southern part of the Netherlands on the border with Belgium.

There are several varieties of goat cheese, from soft and young to hard and aged. The grade defines appearance, shades of taste, aroma and even application in these or those dishes. However, goat milk cheese of any kind possibly is the healthiest and most delicious product.

Cheese production begins with the selection of the highest quality milk collected from the local farms. At the cheese factory milk is curdled and then cut, mixed and processed in the traditional way into different cheeses. Made from goat milk with a natural fat and protein content, this cheese matures for about two and a half weeks at a constant temperature of 12 degrees Celsius and relative humidity of 98%.

During ripening, the cheeses are turned over regularly, during which time a beautiful white crust forms on the cheese, which, among other things, gives the cheese a unique appearance and a delicious creamy taste with hints of walnuts and herbs.

The taste of the cheese varies from soft creamy to spicy as it ages.

Traditionally Alphenaer is used on toast and as an appetizer - in which case it is served on a cheese platter along with other cheeses, nuts, fruit, honey and fresh baguette, but there are also many excellent recipes for this wonderful cheese in various recipes - both cold and hot.

Goat brie has the same buttery, nutty, mushroom and grassy flavour as sheep's milk brie or Camembert, it tastes a little more herbal and has a subtle tangy flavour. A young cheese has a light and creamy taste, while fully matured cheese tastes sharper and creamier.

Fresh goat cheese, cubed, fat, 50%, 2*500g, Alpenhaer

Crumble up some fresh goat cheese to garnish your favourite pasta dish. The best part is that it is great for both hot pasta and cold salad. Also, this product perfectly complements pizza. The cheese is already cut into identical cubes that do not lose their shape, do not absorb moisture from other products, and therefore add not only great taste to your dish but also an aesthetical look.
